As well as being 100% natural, trees have proven to be the most efficient and economical way of absorbing CO2.
Also, besides the natural absorption of the CO2, planting trees can also help communities by providing a livelihood through planting fruit trees, and habitats to animals and other wildlife.

We feel that it is ultra important for us all to be able to engage with climate change, however we find carbon credits and offsetting programs confusing and are often misused. Having a tangible, understandable and affordable way of offsetting and following your CO2 emissions and absorptions is incredibly important to gain and keep us all engaged with protecting our planet.
Every tree planted with Trees4Travel is backed up with a share of an investment into a United Nations Certified Emissions Reduction (CER) renewable energy program. Our CER investments are verified through United Nations certification, this is how we initially compensate all CO2 calculated using DEFRA and GHG Protocols which are the international recognised calculation methods. These certificates are also suitable for conformity and mandatory reporting.
Our tree growing is an additional climate positive action, which will effectively over time, double the compensation of the CO2 calculated making travel and events planet and people positive! Trees are one of the most powerful absorbers of carbon emissions however growing forests takes time and is a fragile process, and in a world where we lose 15 billion trees a year, we must continue with our reforestation efforts. Trees have so many additional benefits for our world and are essential for our wellbeing, and the wellbeing of future generations to come. It is therefore paramount that we go beyond carbon neutrality through our hybrid package to fast-track and help reverse climate change. We continuously research projects to help plant the right trees, in the right place, in the right way and are currently investing into robust planting partners who have been growing trees, restoring biodiversity, and helping communities lift themselves out of poverty for the many years. We are proud to say that Trees4Travel’s work, and partnerships aims to support up to 13 of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
